Welcome back to my website. I’m really glad you’re taking the time out of your day to spend it here. This week is a little hectic because my husband had his family reunion over the weekend so I didn’t have the time to schedule my posts like normal. Sip this week I’m playing catch up! I appreciate your patience in this. Normally I try to have them scheduled super early in the day so you can start your morning reading GrimmGirl if you want. Since I’m writing these posts day off this week they’ve been getting out late. Yesterday’s didn’t get posted until after nine!
I’ll be glad when I have a moment to schedule posts out again so you can all wake up and start your day with a dose of GrimmGirl.
If you follow me on Instagram you will notice that the past few days I’ve been sporting a bit of a new look. Curly bangs! This may not seem like a big deal but it’s actually huge for me. Truth be told I haven’t always been comfortable with my hair but in the past few years I’ve really been building my confidence in my hair. I’m completely in love with it! I’ve had bangs before but when I did I always straightened them. If I didn’t have time to straighten them I pinned them back. I didn’t think I could wear my bangs curly. I was afraid it wouldn’t look nice.
What a fool I was!
Recently I was inspired by Zendaya and Natasha Lyonne. Their hairstyles are so cool! The more I thought about it the more I began to think that our hair was similar enough that I could pull it off too.
I’m so glad I decided to take the plunge. I absolutely love it. I don’t want to brag but I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it as well. I like to think it’s the power of being comfortable in oneself. Maybe it’s just exuding through!
The moral of this story is be proud of who you are! Also don’t feel limited by your hair type because you would be surprised what types of looks you can pull off with the right cut. So have fun, be merry, and love yourself!
