Grimm Music: History Maker by Dean Fujioka

Beautiful Grimms Welcome Back!

I’m so excited to bring back my Grimm Music Series. The last time I posted for this series was over a year ago! I wish I was exaggerating when I said that but literally you can check for yourself. My last post was Grimm Music: Ready or Not by the Fugees and it posted May 5, 2018. A thousand apologies!

I really do enjoy these posts because I feel like music is something that can build bridges. People from all different backgrounds can enjoy the same song and that’s amazing don’t you think? I will be dedicating more time to this series and doing my best to make sure we all get to jam to some music together at least once a month.

Today’s song is History Maker by Dean Fujioka. I think many anime fans are familiar with this song since it is the opening theme for Yuri on Ice. I actually owe Dean a big thank you because it was his song that drew me to the anime. Obviously as soon as Yuri on Ice came out people were talking about it. I have this thing where when something is really popular it takes me forever to watch it. I think it’s because I’m afraid I’ll really like it too and I hate waiting for new episodes so I postpone watching it so I can binge it all at once. Well this didn’t happen hear thinks to Dean Fujioka’s song!

Somebody posted a video of it on Twitter and the music paired with the animation was so freaking beautiful I just had to start watching the show and of course waiting along with everyone else for the next episode. Throughout the series though I watched each opening for this song. It truly does move me. I have it on my playlist as well and if I’m in the middle of this song when I reach my destination I have wait in my car for the song to finish. I simple cannot leave in the middle of it!

I just find this song beautiful.

So for you’re viewing/listening pleasure here is the official music video for History Maker. I hope it brightens your day as much as it continues to brighten mine.
