Oh for shame Grimms!
I haven’t done a Blogger in the Spotlight post in ages! This is seriously one of my favorite posts to do but between pregnancy and the birth of our son I have dropped the ball. I’m glad to finally bring it back to GrimmGirl.
Many of you may not know what this post series is about since I haven’t done one since you started following. I’ll break it down for you. Once a month I showcase a blogger I really enjoy and give you three reasons to check them out.
I’m all about supporting each other in the community and this is one of the ways I feel I’m able to do it.
With out further ado I present to you Matt in the Hat!
Reason One: Sincerity
If you are just hearing about Matt’s anime themed blog then you are in for a treat. The sincerity of Matt’s love for the anime community really comes through in his writing. You can tell he truly enjoys what he is doing and supporting anime anyway he can.
I don’t know about the rest of you but I have definitely come across writers who make it their business to just bash on everything. Anything for those likes and lets face it there is a demographic for that. Personally I’m not for it.
Yeah are there sometimes it’s necessary too give a bad review or admit you didn’t like something? Of course we need to be honest but I think some writers take that to far and their entire site because toxic. Disagree with them in the comment section and be prepared to be called every name under the son.
It’s awesome to be on a site like Matt’s and just chill with someone who just loves the scene.
Reason Two: Inclusivity
Haha is that a word? I’m making it one because it’s true! Matt is a member of OWLS an online blogging group dedicated to creating accepting spaces within the blogging community. We also use our platforms to use anime/pop culture to discuss topics that can be hard to explore.
Matt has been extremely dedicated to the group and has created many OWLS posts. They’re always fun to read and a real discussion starter. Not only does it open things up for different perspectives but because he has built such an accepting community you can comment and discuss things in a laid back way.
Reason Three: Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts
While Matt’s blog does discuss a lot of anime I have to give a shout out to him for his Final Fantasy love! He’s an avid player and does use his space to discuss it which I love. I don’t think there is anyone who hasn’t at least heard of this game. If you haven’t all the more reason to check out Matt’s blog! He’ll tell you all about it!
On top of that he’s a Kingdom Hearts fan. Not only can he talk gaming but he also makes sure to keep up with all of the news related to these games to let other fans know. He’s pretty prompt and up to date so it’s a big help.
I hope you get a chance too check out Matt’s blog. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. When you stop by made sure to tell him GrimmGirl says hi ❤
