GrimmGirl Book Haul

Hey Grimms!

I recently went to Barnes & Noble and picked up a few things I thought I’d share. I like doing haul videos like this because it gives you all a taste of things to come. Plus I think it gives a little insight into me as a person. I’m always curious as to what people read in their down time.

The Sandman Vol. 6

Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors! I’ve been slowly collecting his Sandman graphic novel series. If you haven’t heard of this series you are missing out. Well depending on what you enjoy in a book that is. I mean if you are looking for a happy go lucky story this is not the series for you!

It is dark.

I’ve always felt Neil Gaiman has a way of just getting under your skin with the way he writes and I really enjoy that. I’m pretty pumped to start this volume and finish out the rest of the series. I think once I have them all I’ll do a review post.

I realized that I have zero Neil Gaiman on GrimmGirl and that needs to change!

Ouran High School Host Club

As you may recall this was on my February 2018 Wish List Otaku Edition post and I actually got it. I’m so excited! Like I mentored in my post I have the entire series on my nook but I want the physical copy as well. I’m just a OHSHC fangirl I guess.

You can look forward to some posts from this series as well. Maybe not super soon but eventually!

Bold Baby Crochet and Boho Crochet

Finally I picked up some crocheting books. I like to crochet in my spare time. Mostly I just make things for my kids! You’ve probably seen a few of my projects if you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat.

The Bold Baby Crochet book has some really cute ideas like puppy/bunny pillows, baby socks, blocks, and of course blanket and clothing ideas. I can’t wait to try out some of these. I’ve never tried to do a sweater before so this will be interesting.

Boho Crochet isn’t as baby geared. They’re are patterns for throw pillows, ornaments, backpacks, and a ton of other stuff I’ve never attempted to make. I’m excited to try to challenge myself. I’d like to get to the point where I could even make my own patterns but I still need practice!

Well Grimms I have a lot of reading and crafting to do. For today’s fun comment prompt please tell us the last book (manga, graphic novel, etc) you purchased.

Until next time!

  1. The only Neil Gaiman I’ve read is Fortunately the Milk which I LOVED. I also started the graveyard book but couldn’t finish it. And I’ve never read the manga for OHSHC, at one pt I wanted to bc I really liked it but then I saw thr twins like Haruhi and I couldn’t get into the drama. I’m a haruhi and tamaki fan xD but I also like the twins, don’t make me choose!! Lol. And crotchet!! I havent done that in FOREVER, tho I wasn’t very good at it. I only knew how to do one stitch (is that what it’s called?) tho xD I’ll need to check snapchat :3 I’m not used to using it but i wanna see what you make

    1. I liked the graveyard book but I haven’t read it in years. I should re-read it to see if I feel the same. Omg yes it was hard with the twins liking Haruhi but it was so well done if it makes you feel better. Both of the twins end up learning so much about themselves and each other throughout the process that it’s 100% worth it!
