Sugarpill’s Trinket… Shine On

Hola Makeup Lovers ❤

As you all know one of my favorite brands is Sugarpill. I get my eyeshadows and eyelashes from them and I’ve never had a bad experience. One product I was dying to try though was there liquid matte lipstick Trinket. My hopes were dashed when is quickly sold out with no chance of a restock since it was planned as a limited time thing.

THANKFULLY due to popular demand they decided to add it to their permanent line and restocked it! I can’t tell you the joy I felt to get my hands on this bad boy.

“Sugarpill’s very first liquid lipstick! Creamy matte mauve infused with luminous golden sparkles that shine brighter as the formula sets. Ultra-pigmented and super long-lasting. Our creamy, mousse-like formula never feels dry on your lips! Creamsicle scented.” –Sugarpill

This is what Trinket looks like when you first apply it.

You will have to pray to the makeup gods to get ahold of this lipstick. It is currently sold out and even when it is in stock you’re limited to two per costumer. You know a product is good when they are afraid of individuals buying in bulk and not giving other costumers a chance to land some.

We’ve talked about this before but if this is your first time on GrimmGirl I’ll let you know right off the bat, you will not find this product in stores. This is a mostly online makeup company. If you want their products then you will have to order online. You can’t just stop by your local beauty store. Some stores carry their products but the choice are limited to you really are better off just looking on their website.

Also if you are outside of the USA you will need to check that shipping is available to your country. This is made easier by their stockist page, which lists the stores/websites where you can buy their products.

This product is also $18. To me it is worth every penny but if you’re on a budget you may need to save up for this purchase. Rest assured though it will be money well spent.

THIS is Trinket after a few minutes ❤ Note the difference.

I love everything about this lipstick. My only regret is not being able to buy their other lipstick Kimchi along with it. Sadly for me Kimchi was sold out but I count myself lucky that I snagged Trinket at all.

Trinket is incredible creamy and smooth. It really just glides on and I love its easy application. It dries down quick and goes completely matte. YES. I love a product that dries down and goes matte. Trinket does exactly what it claims to do. No false promises here.

The sparkles are insane. I feel like my lips have been soaked in liquid gold. Since this a very mute mauve the gold shimmers really come to life. I can’t say how it will look on everyone’s complexions but the gold shimmer goes perfectly with my brown skin ❤ It also really does intensify overtime! Honestly it is really amazing to see what it looks like at first application verse what it looks like after 15 minutes.

As for the pigmentation and long lasting abilities Trinket 100% nails it. I didn’t have to go over my lips multiple times to get full coverage. Just a swipe on my bottom lip and a swipe on my top lip and I’m good to go for the rest of the day. When I say rest of the day I mean the rest of my day. I tested this bad boy and it lasted a solid nine hours. That’s impressive.

Obviously you need to be careful if you’re eating and whatnot but I was at work so I wasn’t eating and it lasted my entire workday. As I said before, I completely feel this product is worth my $18.

Trinket feels great on my lips as well. Everyone has different opinions when it comes to textures but for me Trinket was perfect. On top of that I love the smell! That is saying something because I am actually pretty smell sensitive so I really expected to hate the smell of this lipstick. In a surprise turn of events I actually love it. Who would’ve thought?

I must also add that it is a give in that this product is cruelty free but guess what else? It is also VEGAN! That’s right, absolutely ZERO animal products were used to make this product. Rest at ease knowing that animals weren’t even inadvertently hurt making this lipstick.

Final Thoughts

If you are lucky enough to catch this product when it is still in stock I say go for it! The next time it is in stock I will be buying one for sure. I’m too afraid of this one running out and me not having a replacement! I love that it’s muted but still fun so I can wear it to work.

I love this lipstick so much that I will also be trying my hardest to pick up their other lipstick Kimchi. I’ve seen some makeup artists mix them and together they look so beautiful. Plus if Kimchi’s formula is anything like Trinket’s then I need it in my life!

Anyone else try this lipstick before? Are you also a super fan?
