30 Day Lipstick Challenge (Day 1): Too Faced Unicorn

*Since the original publication of this post I have learned that Too Faced is owned by Estee Lauder. Estee Lauder is a company that test their beauty products on animals. To learn more about what this means for Too Faced Cosmetics and why I will no longer review their products on GrimmGirl please read Is Too Faced Cruelty Free? Turns Out… Not Exactly

To all my wonderful followers, subscribers, and fun people just stopping by to check this site out I hope you are all ready for another challenge. The last challenge I did was the 30 Day Anime Challenge so after taking a brief challenge break I decided to come back with a makeup challenge.

If you are familiar with this site than you know that it took me forever to complete my 30 Day Anime Challenge and actually I referred to it as my 30 WEEK Anime Challenge because I was only able to post about it once a week. This time I planned ahead and tried to schedule posts for 30 Days. This challenge should hopefully go by a lot quicker because of this.

So what challenge am I doing?

The 30 Day Lipstick Challenge

The first time I saw this challenge was on PastelSparkles blog. She did it for “Liptember” a movement to raise awareness for Women’s Mental Health issues. I thought that was pretty cool. I had never heard of it hear in the USA. So if you have a chance please check out her post and read more about what you can do to help raise awareness.

For her challenge she wore bold lip colors everyday for thirty days. I thought that was pretty fun. For my challenge I will just be wearing a different lipstick everyday. Some times they’ll be bold sometimes they’ll be nude but each day it will be different!

Sadly I’m to late for Liptember but I would still like to do the 30 Day Lipstick Challenge and hopefully more people will check out PastleSparkles site and learn more about Women’s Mental Health issues. It really doesn’t matter what month it is to learn about subject content right?

The rules for this challenge are pretty simple. Each day for 30 Days I will wear/post abut a new lipstick color. I think it will be fun because a lot of times we get stuck in our habits wearing our favorite colors we own and this kind of challenge forces us to shake things up a bit! Plus you will all get to see a many different shades of lipsticks and might even find some new brands or colors you want to try out.

As always all the lipsticks I will be discussing on GrimmGirl and for this challenge are cruelty-free! So let’s get things going with this challenge with Day 1: Too Faced Unicorn.

Unicorn Lipstick2

I want to start of by saying I adore this lipstick. I love the color and I love the feel. I have also done a review for this lipstick where you can see the various pros and cons in my post Melted Matte Code Name: Unicorn.

This lipstick couldn’t have a better. Just like the mythical unicorn this shade is magical. Purple is one of those colors that I feel looks good on everyone. Whether you have a pale or dark skin tone I feel like anyone can find a purple that they can rock. Personally I think this particular shade of purple can be rocked by a lot of different skin tones.

It’s a bold color but don’t let that intimidate you. After all purple has always been associated with royalty so I say wear it proudly! It may be out of your comfort zone but I think if everyone gave this color a shot they would be surprised at how awesome it looked. Feeling like trying it out for yourself? Too Faced Unicorn Liquid Lipstick

Personally this is one of my favorite lipsticks that I own, or have ever owned. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you are pumped for this challenge. Since I was able to plan ahead better even though I will be taken on this challenge my regular Grimm Otaku, Grimm Style, and Personal Grimmiore stories will continue to post. So I hope you are excited for a lot of posts this month!

Finally, what do you think about this vibrant shade of purple? Would you ever try it out?
