Hey makeup lovers
I hope you are ready for a Winky Lux unboxing. If you are not familiar with this company they pride themselves on being highly pigmented, non-toxic, and of course cruelty-free. They also say that their products are sustainable and made in the USA. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were not aware of this company since their products are sold strictly online and not in stores.
Winky Lux currently sells three beauty kits; The 90’s, The Classics, and The Bombshell kits. Each comes with a journal, two Lip Velour Ultra Matte Lipsticks, and one cream highlighter. I have never purchased products through this company so I decided getting a beauty kit would be a good way to test a few of their products all at once.
I ended up going with The Bombshell beauty kit and if finally came in the mail. So I thought I’d do a quick unboxing of the products and let everyone here at GrimmGirl have a quick peek before I start testing the products out and writing reviews.
I chose The Bombshell makeup kit mostly for the highlighter it came with. It’s a cream based highlighter called Bronze Bombshell and it looked like it would be perfect for my skin tone. I’ve never used a cream based highlighter like this before since I usually stick to powder highlights so this really spoke to me.
Two lipsticks come with this kit, Dirty Love and Sweet Pea. I know I usually do liquid lipsticks but it’s good to break things up every once in a while. Dirty Love is described as a burnt red while Sweet Pea a baby pink. I’m excited to try out both colors but I am nervous that Sweet Pea might be to pink for me. I’m just going to have to try it out and see though.
The notebook is a sweet touch and unique to this company I feel. I can’t think of another company right now that has a bundle available with a notebook as part of the package so I think it is cool that Winky Lux is trying to think outside the box with their products.
If you were to buy each of these items individually you would spend $67. If you buy them as a bundle in Winky Lux’s O+S+L Beauty Kit you spend $39 which saves you $28. That’s a pretty good deal in my opinion.
Hope you enjoyed this Winky Lux unboxing! Have you ever tried Winky Lux products? Do you think I should review the highlighter or the lipstick first?
